Paint Color and other news

I am completely tickled that I was featured on ASPTL DIY day!!!!! How did that happen? Had I known so many of you would have been stopping by I would have had my picture in my sidebar changed....I really hate that doesn't even look like me....why did I chose that particular picture...why????...sorry....anyhow.
Thank you for leaving such sweet comments on my hutch makeover. Blogging is a great creative outlet for me and to have so many kind gals leave such sweet comments just makes my week! Thank you Thank you!!!!

OK, so the paint color is Behr paint from Home Depot. It is interior semi-gloss latex enamel and the color is called Grape Vine

We used less than a quart of paint on the entire cabinet!! Can you believe that? My husband used a sprayer to paint the entire thing. For the first coat we used the little sample can of paint that we bought at Home Depot. Less than $18 in paint for the entire project!!

This is our next piece we are going to tackle. I have been wanting to do something with our master bedroom for some time. Why is it, that the master bedroom is always the last room you do anything to? It will be awhile for this one, but I couldn't wait to share.

This is the fabric I am using.

I think I want to paint the dresser the shade of grey blue that is in the fabric. Layla at the Lettered Cottage used a perfect blue color that I think is just the right one I am going to go with.

Oh, and I found these wall mounted lamps at Pottery Outlet...$40 for the pair!! Score!!

  1. Can't wait to see the results. Love the pretty fabric. Great lamps. Hugs, Marty

  2. Can't wait to see how it come out. Will follow and I hope you come by and like my blog enough to follow as well

  3. I can't wait to see how it all comes together. I love that fabric and that was a great score on the lamps. Lamps can be so expensive! Well done!

  4. If you want a perfect blue gray color, "Wedgewood Gray" by Benjamin Moore is beautiful. It is a Pottery Barn color and I have used it several times.

  5. Love your hutch! Can't wait to see what you do with the dresser. Speaking of color. What is the color of the walls in your family room? Love it!

  6. I can't wait to see how the dresser turns out. I am sure it will be fabulous!

  7. I am leaving a comment here because I can't find your email address... although I am probably staring right at it. I read your profile and was thinking you should add this to it: "And I was involved in police activity regarding watching "The Wonders Years" on DVD." Because that is just classic. Thanks for sharing!

  8. we're going back to Ga. to visit family and one of my two requests is to go to PB outlet store!!!! great projects.

  9. Can't wait to see how it come out. Will follow and I hope you come by and like my blog enough to follow as well
