Picture of the year....a little set back

So I have been busy priming my big pile of furniture.

I have everything primed and just need to paint. I headed to the paint store today to purchase my favorite paint for furniture........ever! It is a bit pricey but you don't have to finish off the piece with poly. My Dad used it on my kitchen cabinets a few years ago. Have I ever shared pictures of my kitchen....? Anywho, the paint has a super hard finish and stands the test of time.

So, after a long day at Homeschool Co-op, the Lobby(aka Hobby Lobby), and a field trip downtown to pick up Daddy, I made it to Sherwin William and had my precious paint in hand.

Only to do this with it.......

Prepare yourself......

You can scream if you want to......

I did......along with throwing a big fat fit when no one was looking!!!!!!!

SERIOUSLY!!!! How did I spill an entire can of PAINT on my HARD WOOD FLOORS?

GRIEF!!!

If that didn't give you a good enough laugh you may want to check out this particular day in my life. Or if you are like me and need a picture to make you laugh and my paint spill wasn't enough for you, then this one might do the trick:)

  2. Oh my gosh Melissa, I just did that not too long ago. My floors are laminate though and after much scrubbing it all came clean. Did it come off of the hardwood ok? I sure hope so!!! And please tell me what kind of paint it is... or was. :-)

  3. I too had a similar fit all to myself (well, with the workmen and Hubs in earshot). I didn't put a lid on a gallon of porch paint sitting in my basement and the laundry appliance people must have knocked it while installing my washer and dryer. It was totally my fault, but humiliation, anger and denial all set in when I saw that it was all over my basement rug. I ruined my carpet shampoo machine trying to suck it up.

    Have to LAUGH now!

  13. I'm looking forward to seeing all the finished pieces! Hope the paint came off the floor okay! I'd be so frustrated with myself. Thankfully it hasn't happened to me, but I probably need to say... yet.
